“What kind of clothing should I bring…?”

We actually get asked this question a lot.

Because Homer is located on the water, there’s always a day breeze coming in which is quite cool. Therefore we advise our guests to dress in layers: bring a lightweight, long sleeve shirt on which you can layer a sweater or fleece jacket. Rich wears flannel shirts all summer and is comfortable. Jeans are fine, shorts are not. If you’re going fishing, you’ll definitely want warm, toasty layers. And when you go out to eat, don’t worry about dressing fancy. Although the restaurants we recommend are world class, you can still wear your Carharts and they’ll give you fine service! (Ties really make you stick out, guys, so leave them behind!)

P.S. Don’t forget rain gear!
